The Founders’ Campership Fund, established in 1999, honors the memory of two women whose dedication and commitment to the Girl Scout movement in lower Bucks County were exemplary.
Camperships are:
Awarded in memory of the founders of the Bristol Service Unit, Katherine MacDonald and Peg Potterton. These individuals enriched the lives of the girls within their communities by enabling them to attend Girl Scout Summer Camp.
Awarded in order to assist a girl in participating in summer resident or day camps in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Awards are distributed based not only on financial need, but also on the girl’s desire to attend camp.
Awarded separately from financial aid provided through Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. Any Girl Scout may be eligible for financial aid through GSEP.
Not considered a full payment to day or resident camp, but merely as a contribution from Founders' Campership Fund to help cover the costs of camping.
